Alan Hill and Co has been trading for approaching 30 years delivering a real estate and development consultancy service mainly to corporate occupiers, commercial / residential developers and major London practices.

During this period clients, such as BET, Matrix Medical Centres and Shurgard, have required the consultancy to be intensified to a full time commitment, but with others such as DTZ, GVA Grimley, Safestore, Seeda, Sainsbury and Travelodge the objectives were achieved with a part time involvement.
 
Since 2002 the focus has been to provide a more specialist role concentrating on the acquisition of buildings and land for occupation and development principally in London and the home counties. The sectors covered include Food Retailing, Healthcare, Hotels, Industrial / Warehouse, Mixed Use, Residential / Retirement Living, Self Storage and Trade Parks. 
 
During this period the main activity has been in the niche area of Self Storage with the principal client being Safestore. A number of freehold and leasehold acquisitions have been completed and further deals are in the pipeline.
 
In 2007 Travelodge selected the company, as a member of the outsourced consultant team appointed to expand their operations within the M25 area and allocated them South East London for this activity. Since then substantial progress has been achieved in establishing a development pipeline of deliverable projects.  Two hotels are now under construction, planning consent granted for a further two, contracts exchanged and planning application submitted for another one and four more recently placed in Solicitors hands.
 
The company has also been involved in the acquisition of both a supermarket and a new format convenience store for Waitrose.
