Andrew has acted for Travelodge for the last 4 years having previously become involved in acquisitions in Hereford, Birmingham-Broadway Plaza and Wolverhampton Central and more recently having instrumental in the proposed developments at Birmingham Airport and Birmingham Carrs Lane.
Andrew has over 30 years experiance in the retail and leisure markets, the last 20 years of which have been spent as Managing Director of Wright Silverwood, which he formed with Jim Wright in 1991 intially, as a specialist retail practice; however, more recently encompassing all aspects of the leisure marketing including hotels, pubs, restaurants and leisure develpoments.
In addition to Travelodge, Andrew has been involved in the inception of leisure and retail development schemes such as Belgrade Plaza Coventry, Astle Park in West Bromwich and Broadway Plaza in Birmingham.
Other clients for whom Andrew has acted in recent years include, J D Wetherspoons, the Gala Coral Group and Tescos.
Wright Silverwood was established in 1981 when Jim Wright and Andrew Silverwood formed their own practice, which was followed by rapid growth both in terms of personnel and client base. With a national reach from central offices in Birmingham City Centre, now having 4 Directors and 6 further staff, the company is now firmly established as one of the leading speacialists in the retail and leisure divisions of the real estate industry.
The Company is divided into 2 departments, the Agency Department which deals with the transactional side and the Professional Department which is primarily concerned with the landlord and tenant issues.
