Development Manager

Neil commenced his surveying career with Hillier Parker (current CB Richard Ellis) in 1988, in their London Office, opening their Manchester office in 1995. He furthered his career with Mason Owen & Partners, in Liverpool, leaving in 1998 to establish the North West Retail & Leisure department of King Sturge, Manchester until 2000. These 3 roles encompassed retail agency, leisure and development consultancy to both regional and national clients. Neil's present role is Director, Jenics Ltd, a niche leisure practice based in central Manchester, joining fellow Director Jeremy Collins in 2000.

Neil was retained by Travelodge in 2003. His role is Development Manager incorporating site finding, negotiation of terms for freehold or leasehold transactions, securing funding and liaising with planners and contractors, up to unconditional exchange of the individual projects. Key hotels include: Trafford Centre, Manchester; Manchester MEN Arena and Manchester University development.

Jenics

Jenics was established in 1998 by Jeremy Collins. Neil Bowler joined Jeremy in 2000, each having over 18 years experience in the leisure property sector throughout the UK. The practice provides a specialist urban leisure agency, with particular involvement in the hotel and high street leisure market, the practice specialising in the North West of England. Both directors' long association with operators, coupled with a clear understanding of developer's requirements, has enabled Jenics to provide an 'edge' in advising development clients.

Jenics have delivered in total since appointed approximately 2900 rooms in 33 hotels.

Jenics specialise in the leisure and care sectors, dealing with hotel development acquisitions and consultancy for both landlords and occupiers. They are also a recognised specialist in the public house/restaurant market , acting for occupiers and providing development consultancy to landlords and developers.

The link that Jenics provides between the hotel and pub/restaurant market, facilitates co location, multi occupancy sites. Jenics other specialities include development advice and agency within the care home and sheltered housing market and advice on alternative use opportunities predominantly in the licensed sector.
